At E.H. Schwab, we’re as malleable as the metals we’ve worked with.
Roll Forming
Our programmable CNC Roll forming equipment allows for cylinders up to 0.125″ thick x 60″ long in Carbon Steel, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass or other exotic materials. Cones with a maximum material thickness of 0.080″ can also be formed without the need for tooling.
Rolled pieces are typically seam welded on one of our automatic seam welders. In certain instances, a rolled/welded cylinder can also be spun, potentially reducing both piece price and tool investment.
CNC Milling & Machining
E.H. Schwab is home to multiple pieces of CNC equipment not only for spinning, but also for machining, milling and routing. We also maintain a variety of manual lathes and mills with maximum swings up to 59″.
Wood, phenolic or steel can all be machined, drilled, tapped, etc. as required. Our machining capabilities also extend to production where equipment can be used for secondary operations on formed parts.
E.H. Schwab strives to produce 100% of all tooling in-house, which ensures seamless interaction throughout the whole process. It also allows us to have a shorter lead time from order to first part delivery. Keeping the building in-house also allows us to develop the production process more efficiently, by making adjustments to the production processes with the full machining capabilities we have on-site. In doing so, we help keep your costs down, and can more readily deliver your product.
